How do i get this sticky stuff off my leather couch?

I bought one of those really sticky things that traps flies and gnats. it's like fly paper, but it's a tube. And sometime yesterday my 3 year old grabbed it and touched everything. Mostly the leather couch and the end table. What can i use to get it off?

As a trash to treasure hunter I am always in search for a bargain usually from someone else trash that I can turn into a treasure and my latest search has been for a coffee table. I am currently searching for something functional, trendy but cost effective.

Where I live there are several thrift malls and consignment shops where I have found some great finds. Through my search for a new coffee table, or rather knew to me, I have been amazed with the different things that can be used as a coffee table.

Currently I live in a cottage style home, but I have dark brown leather sofas in my family room and it was a practical choice since I have two little boys. The couches are easy to wipe down when they have accidents. Currently in the family room, we have an oversized square leather top coffee table that has been very functional.

However, because all of my furniture is dark leather and the style I was looking for is more cottage, I would like to find something a little lighter color and not quite as bulky. I need something that can add a little extra punch of color in the room but it has to be practical with two young children. We also want our coffee table to be used for eating while watching television in addition to be used to prop our feet up and relax.

During my search for a new coffee table, I have been amazed at some of the great ideas being used for furniture. At one of the stores, I saw where someone had taken a couple of square foot stools and upholstered them with a beautiful fabric. They had them pushed together in front of a sofa and was being used as a coffee table. They had placed a T. V. Tray on top of the stools to be used if wanting to place food or drinks on them or to prop your feet up. This idea is a creative way to allow for more seating as well.

Another idea would be to use an old chest as a coffee table. This allows for storage in the chest as well as a surface that can be used to set food and drink or to prop up ones feet. Old chests are often times found at estate sales, thrift stores and antique malls. However, many times, you can find a chest that are worn or is older and needs a little extra care for a great price and to me the age actually adds charm. However, furniture stores also sell new chests that are used as a coffee table.

Plant stands and pots can serve as great supports for a piece of wood, an old door, piece of glass or a window that can be used to create a coffee table to be a conversation piece for guests. The pots could be used up right or turned upside down. If being used up right you could place many different things in them some added flare.

When looking for a coffee table or any type of furniture do not rush. Take your time, shop around, see what is available and gather some ideas. There are many great choices, which are not new and offer great deals. If you see something in a furniture store you can often times recreate the same look from a thrift store or classified ad along with a little creativity.
